That draft is weird in hindsight because Nolan was the consensus pick even with Hextall’s connection to the Wheat Kings. Bobby Clarke said that the scouts wanted Makar but Patrick was Hextall’s guy but it sounded like him deflecting the blame more than anything. Makar was a late riser that draft.
So I was building my DFS lineup last night and the site I use kept giving me Dylan Strome as a cheap utility player. I said "nah he hasn't been doing anything lately" and played Blake Coleman instead. The rest of my lineup hit really hard. Coleman himself actually had a decent game...but not the game Strome had I cost myself $700. I would have won two of the bigger pools and top 3 in the quarter and 50 cent ones. Should have been $8 into $800. I don't know where else to talk about this but I want you all to know I'm very dumb
I think that whole thing is revisionist history. First off the next dman was heiskenin not makar, let's say they pick either of them no guarantee they develop into what they became and everyone gets mad they didn't go with Patrick or hischeir.
It is. Makar wasn't picked to go that high in most mocks until late in the year, mostly because he played in the AJHL. The Flyers also thought they had something special in Provorov and Sanheim at the time so most probably would have been mad that they took another D instead of the center.
this is what they do...they win 3 of 4 vs good teams and then they lose 5 of 6 to Buffalo and Arizona the weirdest team at least Bratt rules
hope the oilers continue to suck this season, next season, and every season, until there are no more seasons.
