Ole Miss is the team on the schedule that scares me the most.

 

It's a little confusing how FSU took Notre Dame to OT but Notre Dame moved up in the AP poll and FSU isn't ranked at all. They should at least be #25.

 

Why? They still lost.

That's like ranking Fresno State in the 20s because they barely lost to Oregon.

 

Right? Why are we bumping up 0-1 FSU for giving Notre Dame a close fight lol

 

There are 4 teams that are 0-1 in the AP top 25. I get keeping Miami on since it's hard to assess a loss to the #1 team and Clemson is Clemson, but FSU played a better game than UNC or Wisconsin. And Auburn got bumped onto the list for beating... Akron?

It will work itself out over the next few weeks, but it just doesn't make a ton of sense to me.

 

Auburn won. Winning is better than losing. And how many of those ranked 0-1 teams went up in the polls vs down in the polls?

 

As a Gator I have many mixed emotions about FSU. I think Milton is going to kick ass and he should absolutely be starter. I also think that they’re a team to watch out for. I also also think that UF will have a hard time in the FSU game this year.

Side note: UF get your QB shit together. But damn AR15 has a lotttt of potential.

Losing = bad. Losing to a good team = bad. If they deserve to be ranked, they'll win games and get ranked.

 

So why is Clemson ranked

 

They dropped from where they were ranked the week before. Teams that lose shouldn't move up in the or into rankings.

For some reason, I want FSU to be good again. I mean, I hate them and all. But someone in the ACC needs to be good.

 

That's just lazy analysis centered more on some principle than actually being accurate. If Cleveland beats KC this weekend and Jax beats Houston are we gonna say Jax is better than KC?

NC State and Boston College have the most potential this year I think. It's still super likely Clemson remains a 1-loss team and demolishes the rest of their schedule.

 

At this rate Clemson will never win again.

 

The real problem is that preseason and early season polls are awful.

 

Yup, I'm not even sure they should exist differently than last year's final polls.
