I was already concerned not having Metchie. Losing Williams too was a nightmare scenario. The inexperience of the other receivers really showed up in this one. Bryce had no help all night and Georgia made us one dimensional, like I feared they would.

Just happy we get Bryce and Will Anderson back next year. But the offensive line really needs to get better.

lol. Dr Pepper did something like that when Bama and Auburn won in 2009 and 2010. That damn BCS trophy went on display in every wal-mart in the state while everyone in the country pointed and laughed.

JT Daniels stinks. He needs to go to place where there’s no competition and is guaranteed a starting job.

I hate when we schedule Pac12 opponents. But kinda cool you can access both stadiums via boat.

One of the silliest aspects of college football is how God damn far out they schedule these things. Texas and Oregon state have a home and home scheduled for 2039 and I think, ill def be dead by the time that happens

And then we use those same schedules booked far out in advance for the strength of schedule metric for ap and playoff rankings. Pretty absurd in my opinion.

Is there any good information about why it's like this? College basketball have to schedule a hundred more games and the logistics seem so much harder yet they seem to do it mostly on the fly

I think there are a few reasons for it such as not having to do a bunch of scheduling every year, but I also think it’s the makeup of football, recruiting, and tv deals. There are fewer games than basketball so the importance on each one is more important, and that creates marketing and anticipation for certain matchups if you know about them down the road. I also think some schools (depending on how they schedule) like to use certain matchups as recruiting talking points. Basketball does a lot of non-conference tournaments to drum up this type of marketing and matchups, that hopefully leads to bigger tv deals and more money.
