watching this Montana/JMU game, I still feel pretty strongly about this being a good solution. Something like this would be v fun, especially if you drop mid-major conference championship games so it’s less of a grind on the players. I would much rather watch these games unfold from like 12/10 - 12/31 than what they roll out in mediocre bowl game tie-ins for these teams during the beginning period. And watching someone who had an awesome season like UTSA tee off against this level of team is more appealing to me than fitting them into a beeg playoff that just sets them up to get walloped by Alabama in the first round
