Congrats to the 2020-2021 champions: Alabama (FBS), Sam Houston State University (FCS), Lindsey Wilson (NAIA), Ottawa (NAIA Women's Flag), and the Kwansei Gakuin Fighters (the Japan American Football Association). Division II and Division III were canceled this past season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2021-2022 FBS season kicks off on the last Saturday of August, with the bigger season kick-off games being held the following week: Ohio State vs. Minnesota, Georgia vs. Clemson, Boise State vs. UCF, Alabama vs. Miami, Penn State vs. Wisconsin, and more.

Go App State! Go Georgia Tech!

It’s always puzzling to me that the Labor Day game is not a bigger matchup. I’ll watch, but Louisville/Ole Miss is a big yawn lol

    PRE-SEASON POSITIONAL RANKINGS:

    Quarterbacks:

    1. Sam Howell, North Carolina
    2. Carson Strong, Nevada
    3. Brennan Armstrong, Virginia
    4. Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati
    5. Phil Jurkovec, Boston College

Small School Guys Worth Watching - Dustin Crum (Kent State), Joe ***nano (Maine), Kaleb Eleby (Western Michigan), Layne Hatcher (Arkansas State)

JT Daniels, Jayden Daniels, and Kedon Slovis should make a leap this year. Tanner Morgan could be incredibly intriguing if he looks like he did in 2019. Dillon Gabriel and Myles Brennan idk what to do with.

    Runningbacks:

    1. Breece Hall, Iowa State
    2. Jerrion Ealy, Mississippi
    3. Isaiah Spiller, Texas A&M
    4. Wesley Kennedy III, Georgia Southern
    5. Sincere McCormick, UTSA

Also like Chris Rodriguez (Kentucky), Tyler Allgeier (BYU), Zonovan Knight (NC State), Jordan Mason (Georgia Tech), Kenneth Walker III (Michigan State), DeAndre Torrey (North Texas), and Zamir White (Georgia)

Haven't looked at but I've heard Ty Chandler's name thrown around. Mohamed Ibrahim and Master Teague are kind of underwhelming to me rn so I wanna see a jump from them. Brian Robinson is an Alabama back so I'm sure he's good but can't imagine he's a Najee.

    Wide Receivers:

    1. Chris Olave, Ohio State
    2. Justyn Ross, Clemson*
    3. George Pickens, Georgia*
    4. David Bell, Purdue
    5. Treylon Burks, Arkansas

    *healthy

Wan'Dale Robinson (Kentucky) is a guy I think could make a serious jump this year. Too many receivers to list honorable mentions.

    Tight Ends:

    1. Jalen Wydermyer, Texas A&M
    2. Charlie Kolar, Iowa State
    3. Josh Whyle, Cincinnati
    4. Trey McBride, Colorado State
    5. Nick Muse, South Carolina

    Offensive Tackles:

    1. Thayer Munford, Ohio State
    2. Evan Neal, Alabama
    3. Dylan Parham, Memphis
    4. Jamaree Salyer, Georgia
    5. Jack Snyder, San Jose State

    Guards:

    1 Zion Johnson, Boston College
    2. Ed Ingram, LSU
    3. Cain Madden, Marshall
    4. Cade Mays, Tennessee
    5. Cody Ince, Iowa

    Centers:

    1. Tyler Linderbaum, Iowa
    2. Jarrett Patterson, Notre Dame
    3. James Empey, BYU
    4. Alex Forsyth, Oregon
    5. Doug Kramer, Illinois

OL is just what's left from 2021 scouting. I know jack shit about this class outside of a handful of people. I expect most of this to end up wrong lol.

    Defensive Line:

    1. Haskell Garrett, Ohio State
    2. Jordan Davis, Georgia
    3. Jermayne Lole, Arizona State
    4. Ricky Barber, Western Kentucky
    5. Perrion Winfrey, Oklahoma

    EDGE:

    1. Kayvon Thibodeaux, Oregon
    2. Zach Harrison, Ohio State
    3. MyJai Sanders, Cincinnati
    4. Carson Wells, Colorado
    5.Aiden Hutchinson, Michigan

    Linebackers:

    1. Christian Harris, Alabama
    2. Who?, LSU
    3. Payton Wilson, NC State
    4. Nik Bonnito, Oklahoma
    5. Nate Landman, Colorado

    Cornerbacks:

    1. Derrick Stingley Jr., LSU
    2. Ahmad Gardner, Cincinnati
    3. Kaiir Elam, Florida
    4. Trent McDuffie, Washington
    5. Josh Jobe, Alabama

    Safeties:

    1. Kyle Hamilton, Notre Dame
    2. Tykee Smith, Georgia
    3. Jaquan Brisker, Penn State
    4. Bubba Bolden, Miami
    5. Jordan Battle, Alabama

Been thinking about how the 2021 Draft pretty much took all of the CFB stars. Like, this year feels like a total reset and I'm so here for it.
