I just don't buy the argument that paying the best players on a team is the wrong move to make. And don't think fans should care how much it costs, or if someone has to eat a bigger luxury bill, or needs to buy someone out, or any of that.

 

I don't care if ownership has to eat a big luxury bill. That doesn't change the fact that most owners aren't going to do it

That I agree with, but I think that should be what more fans are mad about compared to KAT or whoever getting a contract. They get to hide behind that, while still literally printing money, and the player gets shit on a few years later. I dunno, I see it in other sports too, people like "oh that's gonna be a bad contract" and I'm like "why should I care at all?" give Judge a half billion dollars and if he breaks his leg next year I don't care
