Mets have presented an offer to Bauer that eclipses Cole's AAV on a shorter deal - WFAN reporting - not sure what the exact terms are but Mets are now the favorites for Bauer.

i don't think i would want the Mets to give Bauer 36mil a year for 2 years but, i probably wouldn't be upset if it happened. they need to land one of these big FAs and the rotation needs to be strengthened in case syndergaard has any setbacks.

 

I feel the same. Honestly for Bauer hes hitting fa at weird time. Teams aren't spending but there aren't many reliable pitchers on the market this or even next year.

Really interested to see the number of voters that didn’t vote for Schilling but voted for Torii Hunter and their explanation as to why.

Schilling rightfully gets knocked for past and present comments but I really haven’t seen any chatter on Hunter at all.

Arod will get the Bonds treatment. Papi deserves to get in, but if Edgar had to wait 10 years I don't see him getting in year 10. Teixeira does he even make the hall?

Maybe Schilling gets enough votes in his final year to clear the hump though recent events might change that. But beyond that...
