Good for the Mets. The whole org being reworked is very promising. Sucks that stuff didn't come up sooner. Hopefully the new ownership is forward thinking enough to give the position to someone deserving. Getting the scum out of sports needs to be a priority.

 

While i absolutely and fully support the victim’s wishes to leave the story buried, until now, it sucks to learn that SO many people knew about this for so long and still he was allowed to advance in MLB.

glad Cohen spoke out himself this morning and didn't just hide behind a press release. time to move on and forget the scumbag was ever given an office.

 

I find it hard to believe that the Mets knew nothing of this. You would assume by now, that when organizations make hires, their background checking would be incredibly extensive to avoid these type of situations.

 

I'm not going to assume that though, because we don't/will never know. Hopefully this is a learning experience for Cohen and Sandy, and hopefully they will be more diligent and investigative for future hires, but if we are going with the assumption they found out about it last night when we did, they took quick decisive action and made their position known, and that's probably all you can ask for.
