Since Washington Football Team is taken so what are they going to pick? there's like, no good names left apparently

u know at first i couldnt believe they couldnt think of a new name in all that time, but washington football team is starting to grow on me. its unique at least lol.

cleveland tho as a city i think most ppl would agree has a richer history then dc so it shouldnt be that hard for them to come up w something.

 

I'm not sure how you think Cleveland has a richer history than the capitol of our nation.

 

outside of the political shit dc really doesnt seem to have to many defining characteristics afaik. if anything the political aspect dominating the city's identity is not a good thing.

cleveland came to be as a huge manufacturing hub but also has lots of history in music and literature. i havent been there but it sounds like a much more authentic american city than dc imo, similar to other midwestern cities.

 

like dcs basketball team is literally called the wizards lmao. obviously there's not a big supply of good mascot names out of there lol

 

Literally the first thing that comes to mind when I think Cleveland is Drew Carey and I cannot stand Drew Carey.

then the franchise will move a couple years later

 

i hope cleveland uses this time to think of a new color scheme. teams should be incentivized to not be red and blue. give them draft picks for it

 

no joke, if the Rockies didn't exist, the Cleveland Rockers would be a legit suggestion. but alas...

I think they’re going with the Indians name for the 2021 season but the new name will be in effect following the season.
