btw i may be the only mets fan that isn't on the George Springer band wagon. mostly because i see a bunch of other names coming next year and the year after that look a lot more intriguing. Plus, re-signing Noah might be a priority if he has a good year (although signing Bauer would negate that a bit)

Inciarte is the only OF in the 2022 pool that looks enticing to me and i can't imagine the Braves let him get away. Springer is 2-3 years older than someone I'd want to give a 4-6 year deal to, but he can play, and i don't think he's slowing down just yet. the right kind of contract could be beneficial to both sides, and this is definitely a 'strike now' mentality.

In regard to Noah, he really has to have a Cy Young type of season for me. I've become so disenchanted with him. Can't stay healthy, and imo has not pitched at all to his hype level since getting the call up. I think giving him a 4-5 year extension is way more dangerous long term than signing Springer to the same length.

  14. IMO there is no better destination for present day Ender Inciarte than the New York Mets. Please take him.

Super bummed about all the minor league teams that lost affiliation or got shuttered, even knowing a year in advance that it was probably happening. I've been to games of at least three of the teams that were affected (Jackson, TN; Frederick, MD; Lexington, KY) and it just sucks sucks sucks. Fuck the owners and Manfred.

As an aside, I wonder if they regret letting this get out last winter lol, if that hadn't happened they could plausibly just blame Covid now and maybe people would care less. Although it doesn't seem like there's a ton of outrage anyway so

I’m sure baseball fans will suddenly realize the impact of that several years after it’s too late to do anything about it.

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

Lol this was my thought. Unless I'm wrong I think someone posted the worst exit velocities this season and Inciarte was at the bottom in a middle of a bunch of pitchers lol

Yup, the Rays lost/dropped the Stone Crabs whose stadium is a short drive away for me. The Rays are still posting up for spring training there but the rest is a huge bummer.

look forward to the Phillies contending for a championship while the Tigers continue being mediocre!!! Dombrowski has hurt his reputation but he is one of the key reasons I fell in love with baseball and I think he did a phenomenal job in Detroit.

I'm not convinced he'll get the green light to spend much money in Philly. There are a lottt of holes in the roster currently.
