How fucking awful it must be to work for Marquee Sports. The stupid suits they made them wear, the grotesque politics, the lack of broad access

I am happy he’s staying in the area. Now the Sox will have the one of the best tv crews and an elite radio crew

Len has been the voice of the Cubs for most of my life. He should have continued to be the voice of the Cubs for the next 30 years. In a lot of ways, for me, Len is more meaningful than Rizzo, KB, Javy, etc. because he's the through line between eras. Players come and go but a hall of fame broadcaster should be there for generations.

The only way this makes sense as to the Ricketts not being responsible is if Len really wanted Pat Hughes's job and it was clear Pat wasn't retiring any time soon (nor should be!). Anything else, it's gotta be the Ricketts.

I remember Harry for a few years before he passed. And then it was Chip and Steve. But for 16 years now, in the most relevant period of Cubs baseball ever, Len has voiced the Cubs.

It’s cliche at this point, but fuck off 2020.

The Cubs just won’t be able to replace him with someone anywhere near as knowledgeable or charming.

Len & JD were probably the best duo in the league at embracing the sabermetrics movement & new trends in the sport instead of just dismissing them. Even as a rival fan I loved having the Cubs broadcast on in the background because they had a lot of great convos about newer stats & strategies when there wasn't much going on in the game. That and they actually seemed to put the work in when it came to studying the rest of the league. I also appreciate how Kasper got a pretty high profile gig as an unknown & won over most of the fanbase.

Chris Myers is okay but I've only heard him call football.

NL central is a rotten hellscape of a division at this point tbh, very few good things no matter how hard you look

yeah, I don’t know where else he’d go. Maybe The Ringer or back to Baseball Prospectus. Otherwise, no idea

yeah maybe Ringer could be a good fit if Lindbergh could get him brought aboard. that site has some big problems but their content is still pretty good overall, employee treatment not so much but like...there's not many ""better"" options right now

anyway I added his book with Lindbergh to my holiday wishlist literally yesterday after I've gotten back into effectively wild the last few months. hope he lands on his feet.

I've definitely heard Dunning's name tossed about, wasn't sure if he's actually decent or not.

Guess Chris Young did well with his 1st trade as GM then!

I think dunning could be good, traded dunning and other stuff for flaherty in my dynasty league last year.

Better to get something for Lynn than nothing. Dunning has a nice sinker and could very well be a dependable rotation arm for years
