    @team_newton Prestigious

    Why does MLB Network have someone on TV that hates baseball? This guy is a complete moron and should go the fuck away.

    25. Texas Rangers
    The broadcast: Fox Sports Southwest: Dave Raymond (play-by-play), C.J. Nitkowski, Tom Grieve and David Murphy (analysts), Emily Jones (field)

    The results: The Rangers are toward the back of the back in our first MLB broadcast rankings, but the team’s field reporter, Emily Jones, gets rave reviews. She’s fifth among her peers with a 4.30 rating. “Emily is a treasure,” wrote one fan. “Always amusing in her interactions with players and funny stories galore.” The team uses three analysts, and some fans feel that’s too many cooks in the kitchen: “Too many color commentators. Stick with C.J.” Most readers seem ambivalent to Grieve as an analyst, preferring Nitkowski. Raymond gets good marks handling the play-by-play, though plenty of fans are still clamoring for Josh Lewin, who hasn’t called games for the team in a decade. Several fans who took part in the survey said they watch the TV broadcast but listen to the actual games on the radio, preferring announcers Eric Nadel and Matt Hicks.

    Was expecting higher due to Nadel but I see they didn't really take radio broadcasts in to much consideration.

    Emily Jones really is a treasure

    Oooh. Someone tell me where the Braves broadcast team ranks.... bc it is awful and I’d be shocked if it cracks the top 20.

  12. What do you mean? Jeff Francoeur going off on rambling anecdotes of his playing days and Joe being the human embodiment of “get off my lawn” is top shit.

    Tigers broadcast is abysmal, it matches our on field play well

    15. Atlanta Braves
    The broadcast: Fox Sports South: Chip Caray (play-by-play), Jeff Francoeur, Tom Glavine and Joe Simpson (analysts), Paul Byrd and Kelly Crull (field)

    The results: Braves fans are still rankled by the decision to not bring back sideline reporter Kelsey Wingert. “She was clearly the best personality, booth included,” wrote one reader. “She knew her shit.” But the Braves apparently hit a home run when they added former outfielder Jeff Francoeur to the booth two years ago as an analyst. “Frenchy” is engaging and funny: “The addition of (Francoeur) to the booth has been awesome,” a reader noted. “I love his perspective … and pairing him with (Caray) has been awesome.” Caray gets polarizing reviews as a play-by-play man: Some fans like him (“he’s unfairly hated; he’s a good play-by-play guy”), and some just don’t (“he’s smug and annoying”).

    9. Tampa Bay Rays
    The broadcast: Fox Sports Sun: Dewayne Staats (play-by-play), Brian Anderson (analyst), Tricia Whitaker (field)

    The results: You probably wouldn’t know this unless you’re a diehard Rays fans, but the TV team has a fantastic duo in Staats and Anderson. “They are the most underrated tandem in baseball,” wrote one survey respondent. “Dewayne is a pleasure and rarely makes mistakes. Brian does an excellent job incorporating advanced stats.” “(Anderson) has the ability to inform you about the game with humor,” wrote another reader. “But also with deep insight.” Maybe the best compliment the Rays TV got in our survey was this: “Watching out-of-town broadcasts makes me appreciate the Rays broadcasters more.”

    This is pretty much my take. Frenchy is not "awesome" or "engaging and funny". But I don't really hate him up there because, well... he is better than Joe groaning about something that no one else would ever groan about.
