  3. I don’t think we’re getting baseball this year at all. How can a league survive by bleeding fans and then when you get some back ... doing this?! It’s so poorly run. It’s so fucked.

I know people largely blame Manfred for a lot of the problems with MLB today but I doubt this result would be much different under Selig.

Looks like the league won’t budge on having the players take another cut. It’s shitty given what the MLBPA has already agreed to. But they do need to be compensated more given the risks they will be under to put the product on the field.

  5. Manfred is *only* a multi-millionaire I blame ownership first and foremost

This also assumes that every owner operates like Frank McCourt did.

We knew the MILB was at risk of contracting some teams before this all happened but this is a bummer:

I’m really hoping we get some other baseball content aside from the KBO and the ESPN 30 for 30 called “Long Gone Summer”. Posted the description below for anyone interested.

on June 14, AJ Schnack’s, “Long Gone Summer”, an official selection of the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival, chronicles Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa’s storied 1998 home run chase following the 1994 MLB strike.

CBA expires in 18 months... this is just a precursor to the 2022 season.

Eric Sim is my favorite baseball twitter follow. He's a must follow imo

Former minor leaguer who loves and defends the game/players all day

Regarding David Price, I wish more MLB players would step up and help. I know Shin Soo Choo did too. Maybe they are and we just don’t know it but good to hear some positives going on.

Its not on the players to do what the owners should do, but HEY wanna change the narrative and wanna stick it to the owners... Scherzer and trout and Harper, hey. Share the wealth
