He's been such a bright spot in this awful stretch for the Orioles. Hope he can pull through this.

 

He was a decent enough hitter in his first year and had more power than most of their other LF options. Buck LOVED Joey Rickard because he played well in Spring Training and Kim lost a lot of starts to him early in the season. Reimold also played a bunch for some reason that I never understood. Kim eventually got in the lineup on a regular basis around August & got put in a platoon role the next season because they signed Seth Smith (fart). He didn't play well but between those two and Rickard, Buck was shuffling the lineup for the sake of it that year & no one was playing consistently.That said, Mancini eventually took his spot in LF so it's a moot point.

 

oh yes perfect let’s just put Astro’s and the Dodgers in the same division that will go well

Seems like Braves and Pirates should switch on those proposed divisions.

Edit: not geographically but every other team is with their entire normal division..so..

 

What exactly is the point of the consolidated divisions? Is it to minimize travel somehow, where teams would only play other teams in that division? If so, someone needs to point out how far it is from Houston->Seattle, Atlanta->Minneapolis, Miami->Toronto, etc. etc.

 

Need to temporarily move the Mariners to San Antonio or something lol

i dont see the point in a fake season. If the Mets win this, i wouldn't care...or at least, it's just not the same. It's not the point of why we, or at least, I watch sports.

I'm a hugeeee "Delgado got screwed" guy and am glad to hear someone who caught wind

 

i’m as big of a big hall guy as anyone and those two do not deserve it

 

i'm so disenchanted by this whole situation that honestly even the thought of getting half seasons doesnt even do it for me anymore. just cancel it all until next year. sure i miss sports, but with everything going on in the world right now i don't even think i'd find any escape in an 80 game baseball season. maybe they can salvage NFL, but, idk, just shut it down.

 

the most 'mets fan' thing to happen would be for the mets to win it all in a fake/half/consolidated season and i'd be too caught up in world problems to even care lol

 

Yeah Belle only played 10 full seasons, Delgado only 12. Both had a string of killer offensive seasons mid-career but hoo boy they both were defensive liabilities no matter how you look at it

 

Honestly if it is safe/prudent for them to play baseball this year (which I'm far from convinced of), they should just do a long bracket in lieu of the postseason with a loser's bracket so teams can keep playing, don't call the championship the WS and recognize it's a totally different thing

 

I'll take 10 years of absolute monster numbers over 15 good years any day of the week.

 

I dont even think Delgado is neccesarily a hall of famer... but 1 and done!?!?! That's absolutely insane

Lol to true... when I saw the Angels play there a couple years back we had seats on the third base side and barely anyone was around us... moved out to CF next to the ray tank to be closer to Trout and no one was in the section outside of me, my wife, and kid. Was kinda neat
