I hate it.

But the reality is that even after we pass the initial peak of infection, the virus is still active. We have already lost more than 16,000 Americans to this disease. Bringing back sports soon would give people a reason to stay inside, a reason to feel hopeful. It would probably also cost more lives.

What freedoms have we given up, what wars have we fought, what blood have we shed, what money have we spent in the interest of stopping one more 9/11? This is 9/11 every day for 18 months.”

The peanuts and Cracker Jack will be waiting for us when sports are ready to come back. Only the virus will determine when that is.

It's been awesome. Have played as a few different teams' GMs in a few different eras. Right now I'm doing one where I started as Padres GM in 2020 and the team has made the playoffs in four of five seasons 2020-24 and won the WS in '21 and '24...think I'm getting the hang of it haha

Today’s episode of the PosCast with Joe Posnanski and Mike Schur was great. They had on Joey Votto and C. Trent Rosecrans to talk about the Top 100 list that Joe Posnanski just finished for The Athletic. Votto is up there with Greinke as being one of the most interesting players in the game and it was awesome listening to him talk baseball history

Votto was great on the podcast. Not sure if he has any interest in doing it, but he would make a great announcer when he retires.
