Yeah, this is the risk you take signing any player through their 30's but he was going to make more than that if he hit the open market in another couple of years if this off-season is any indication. There's been a section of the fanbase that has been counting down the days until we lose Yelich so getting this done now is a huge vote of confidence. I'm a little surprised because Stearns has been running sort of a Moneyball operation with waiting for free agents & letting expensive guys walk but the fanbase would burn down Miller Park if they went this route with Yelich.
