So is the twins plan the al central is so bad... just stay the route and cruise to another division and hope you dont play the Yankees in the playoffs again.

Or did the twins forget theres an off season this year

I think whichever of the Twins/White Sox don't win that division have an inside track to the wild card spot that doesn't go to the AL East runner up. Should be able to win about 45/57 games against the Indians/Tigers/Royals.

Probably won't happen but it would be cool if the sox made the playoffs and the cubs missed them

Seeing a lot of people say the Indians are “sellers”...they got rid of 34-year-old Kluber who was really bad in 2019 (before having season ending injury) and was not a great big game pitcher (check out his last 4 postseason starts).

The Indians won 93 games last year...all pretty much without Kluber. I have zero problems with the Indians trading Kluber because he’s not really needed. They still have the best rotation in the AL Central in Bieber, Clevinger, Carrasco and Civale and Plutko have showed promise as well. The bullpen will be much improved with Clase and Karinchak.

obviously, if they get rid of Lindor this winter, then we’re having a different conversation (unless they receive a huge MLB ready now haul) but I think they’re going to hold onto him and reassess at the trade deadline. If they’re still contending then they’ll hold onto him. If they’re slipping then they may pull the trigger.

But to my original point, the Indians won 93 games and got rid of a starter who had nothing to do with that success. They are still very much in contention with the AL Central next year.

And how much of last year was Ramirez just a big nothing too

He couldn’t have been more awful or lifeless for the first 2-3 months. He was hitting under .207 until June 22.

Also, Lindor missed more than the first month of the season last year. The fact that they still won 93- games is absolutely insane.

Would love to be proven wrong because Cleveland was a fun team when they were firing on all cylinders a few years ago but I don't see them winning that many games again in 2019. Most of what I've said about them is assuming they trade Lindor though which still seems very possible if not likely. I agree moving on from Kluber was probably smart

I'd be more hyped for a deal if the Yankees didn't start like every one of the last three or four non-championship seasons with the apparent "best bullpen ever"

Very risky, Hader might retire if he has to walk in the Bronx for more than 5 minutes
