  2. Thought the baseball thread would enjoy this Xmas gift from my dad. It’s a pint glass made out of a baseball bat.

This is wayyyyyyy too positive because its banking on Diaz and familia bouncing back.

I see this staff and all I see is Betances, which is fantastic. Otherwise it's a wash

I don't know, Lugo and Wilson were also very solid last season. So those three alone make it a pretty good bullpen. I think Diaz can bounce back. I can't imagine being the best closer in baseball one season and sucking the rest of your career. I don't think we will see 2018 Diaz but we should expect much better than last season. And add either Wacha or Porcello in the bullpen (or even putting Matz in there) could be a plus as well.

But Lugo and Wilson were here last year and yet we still had one of the worst bullpens in baseball.

Betances was humongously needed or else i would've cried about brodie all year.

Cause for starters all we did was replace wheeler with stroman... and Vargas with porcello/wacha. That sounds like a tie

Bounce back from dumpster fire. I agree it can't get worse that's for sure

I'd take Porcello/Wacha over Vargas for sure, so I think that's an improvement. Stroman and Wheeler are about the same.

I think it's also important to point out that the Mets bullpen really was not bad the second half of the season. Post-all star break was 3.68 ERA. Pre-all star break was 4.86 ERA. Literally if they repeated what they did in the second half they will do just fine. And now with Betances, a better Diaz, and possibly Wacha or Porcello, we look damn good

Truly hilarious seeing universal whining about letting Betances go when pretty much NOBODY has been trashed by an entire fanbase more than Betances when he was deep in his struggles. Also an Achilles is not easy to come back and be great immediately, and probably moreso for a guy as big as he is with his mechanics.

He was my favorite Yankee for at least a season and I hope he gets back to normal quick though. And at least I can watch him on SNY lol

I wonder if Beltran eased it for him. Would not be surprised if he's on the Angels or something after next season.

A few years ago if you told me Didi and Betances would walk with no effort from the Yankees I would've called so much bullshit

Didi got super unlucky with his TJ, he probably would've been a lock for extension before the season and LeMahieu never would've been a Yankee

  15. I really think Hader is getting traded to the Yankees sometime after the holidays - I just hope it’s not a bad trade for the Brewers. I think Hader’s best days are behind him but we need to get some quality everyday starters out of any Hader deal. Don’t think Yankees would be dumb enough to trade Torres but I would love to see Andujar being our 3B of the future

I wonder if jerry is dying or something and he wants to see one more white Sox World Series win before he passes cuz this is not like him to be spending all this money. I love it too I just wish he was always this willing to spend

Y'all have a lot of guys who are making/about to make the jump from top prospects to everyday players and I think they just smell blood in the water in that division. Even with the Twins looking to be good again, Cleveland is selling (almost) everything that moves and KC/Detroit could lose 200 games between the two of them. At least a wild card berth seems realistic.

  21. Cleveland please sell Lindor to the Brewers thanks
