Absolutely not here. Love Julio but I'm trying the position the Falcons for a good future here. There is ample WR talent this draft and the Falcons have a bunch of guys there who can look good. I love Julio, but the 7 games a year he plays can be played somewhere else.
Lions select Trey Lance, QB NDSU I like his upside more than Fields. Lance is a bit of an unknown and will most likely need a season to sit, but the Lions can afford him the opportunity to take time and learn.
I tend to mix and match strategies so the trades help. This draft I'm doing "Bill isn't interested in a rebuild" whereas next will probably be more of a youth movement. The Stafford trade seems like a pretty close compensation to reality, and the Gallup trade was built off a story from a Dallas outlet so it's not like that was too far removed from reality.
Yeah, like when UUU traded his best player for a 2nd round pick and the guy from the Cosby Show that pretended to be Donovan McNabb
I think trades should be included, like, what am I supposed to do as the Lions? We’re going to have another first rounder, Stafford ain’t staying
Carolina Panthers select Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State Justin Fields falling to #8 is quite the steal for the Panthers and it has talked me out of trading everything away for Deshaun Watson. I find the criticism of him a bit harsh. He has all the tools to be a great QB and landing in Carolina would be a good situation for him. He can sit behind Teddy to start his career if needed, he'll have a core of weapons that any young QB would be happy with, and his OC is very creative. I also think his reputation as a strong leader and loud voice in the locker room will be perfect for the culture Rhule is building. I'd be thrilled with this pick.
The Denver Broncos select Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech Michael Ojemudia had himself a nice rookie season, but after seeing cornerback as the top need on every Denver draft needs post, I’m assuming AJ Bouye didn’t cut it on the other side (and I saw former Colts great Nate Hairston dangerously close to seeing snaps on that depth chart, which scares me). Cue Farley, who has all the makings to be a lockdown corner and should give Fangio a real solid foundation to build this secondary around
I'll go ahead and just pick because this is a perfect fit for Dallas. Dallas Cowboys select Rashawn Slater, OL, Northwestern The Cowboys once had an all-time great offensive line. Then Travis Frederick retired. Then Tyron Smith had surgery. Smith should be back this upcoming season, but the middle of the line is still suffering from the loss of Frederick. Improving the interior OL will be vital in effort to revitalize Zeke and protect Dak, who is returning from an injury that might make him a little less mobile. Rashawn Slater can play all across line but most are saying his best position in the pros will be at center. He can be a day 1 starter at center for Dallas and potentially slide over to other positions as needed. I like the idea of having three lineman that can move around to different spots (Slater, Collins, Martin).
with the 11th pick, the New York Gettleman's select Jaylen Waddle - WR 'Bama Penei Sewell was my round 1 target for the Giants, but if he can't fall to 11, we get Danny Dimes some receiving help which will come in handy during Sterling Shepard's annual 3-4 week foot injury. @tkamB SF is on the clock
49ers select Wyatt Davis, OL, Ohio State Was either Davis or Rousseau. Hopefully in real life this pick is used as part of a package to get Deshaun. If they can't get Deshaun or one of the top 4 QBs, I think this makes the most sense. 49ers were a disaster at RG this season, Davis is plug and play and can hopefully stabilize the right side of the line.
Chargers select Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida Henry can’t stay healthy, team needs to build around Herbert. I think this could be a dangerous combination.
