If you have that many draft picks in the top whatever, you’re usually gonna get good football players
The Indianapolis Colts select Simi Fehoko, WR, Stanford I was gonna go with Shi Smith here because I like him a lot, but I was reading through the TDN profiles on some of the remaining guys and this guy sounded like a Colts developmental receiver and I’m assuming he’ll test well. Big (dude is listed as 6’4”, 230), fast enough, maybe has the dropsies but will be a core special teamer? Sold. “ Simi Fehoko is a big-play threat whenever his number is called. He has a big frame with an exceptional catch radius for the position. He plays with a competitive streak and is physically tough at the catch point. He has some straight-line speed that has helped him get separation on 9 routes. He has had some drops, but generally shows good hands when catching the football. Ideal Role: Rotational wide receiver and core special teams player.”
Give them McNeil, they need to fill that dl position since they’re probably gonna lose alulu and never were able to replace hargrave. That would be amazing for them.
Seattle Seahawks select Trey Sermon, RB, Ohio State Carson and Hyde are both free agents and even if Carson comes back he isn’t the most reliable player. Trey Sermon is a very physical runner who absolutely dominated at the end of the season. He is one of my favorite players in the draft and I feel like a perfect fit as a Seattle RB.
Jacksonville Jaguars select Olaijah Griffin, CB, USC Once again dipping into unscouted guys and looking at the stats here idk why he isn't getting a bit more recognition. Yards per coverage snap is lower than Horn's and Surtain's, same with his opposing QBR. No TDs allowed this last season. Snaps per reception is on par with Horn and Surtain. The Jags CB room is a weird mix of guys I love but don't love having to lean on. Tre Herndon, Sidney Jones, Quenton Meeks, Luc Barcoo, Chris Claybrooks. We're in a really weird spot where like, we don't need any depth but we desperately need a true starter at corner. Idk if Griffin is it but it looks like about as good as I could get at this point in the draft. Worst case scenario, one of those depth nerds is finding a new team.
