Perfect fit for Saleh's Cover 3 scheme. The Jets are desperate for help on the outside. I fully expect Joe Douglas to go out and sign a bridge starter like Richard Sherman (who has a great relationship with Saleh). Really good run support player in the defensive secondary, which is an added plus.

I mean we never had a really good quarterback basically ever - I maintain that Mark Brunell was merely an above average QB, who was elevated a lot, by one of the best supporting-cast offenses of the 1990s. Like I’d say the late 90s Jags were top 5 that decade in terms of RBs, WRs, and O Line all combined.

And we haven’t had a truly elite receiver since Jimmy retired in 2005.

Taylor and MJD are the only true offensive studs we’ve had in 15 years.

true. I’m still bummed Caldwell snubbed him after that ACL tear. I had a feeling he’d be right back to WR1 skills once he recovered.

 

OH YEAH now I remember - ARob got exactly the same money I wanted to offer him from CHI too. that’s what really pissed me off. He wasn’t even overvaluing himself. That deal was more than fair for a post-ACL surgery, very good WR.

What about Kylin Hill? Three down back that can block and catch and shows a good combo of elusiveness for zone reads, as well as downhill / no nonsense running & and angles

he’d be a good fit for Mike Tomlin

 

Paulson Adebo

 

Hill or Odighizuwa sounds good to me

 

Odighizuwa is more 4-3 3-tech. He’s better in a pressure front than in a 2 gap situation

 

this is low key a great choice actually I think this is the one.

Steelers select Paulson Adebo, CB, Stanford.

 

Steelers always have problems finding CBS who can actually make plays on the ball. Adebo has that skill and is big and physical to play their zone bump and run as well.

I’m pretty happy about this pick, nothing flashy but a really solid corner to have between greedy and ward. He can play the run really well, won’t make an error in coverage and just loves football. Just building up that defense as much as possible because mayfield stinks.
