There are good gms and then there are bad gms and then there is that dude who got mad for anyone questioning their weird trades and quit lol
I hate it! Seriously I don't think I'm super thrilled at the idea of the Bills taking an RB at 30. But Etienne would bring a much needed new element to the offense; I really thought that they would be looking to bring a speedier back into the mix after last season, but instead they went with a hammer in Zack Moss. Singletary is unique, he's really shifty and can be hard to bring down sometimes, but he's neither a speed back or power back, and that lack of breakaway speed at RB was a killer this year, along with the OL run blocking taking a step backwards. I also feel like even though there are more glaring holes, Etienne could have extra value to the Bills because they could condense like, 3 roles on the 2020 roster down to 1 with him. He seems to be a pretty reliable pass catcher in addition to his running skills, and with the home run speed he has, I feel like he could possibly be used in the "gadget" role for end arounds and similar stuff that Isaiah McKenzie has been running. ...Etienne would be an absolute Bills killer in Miami. Anywhere else please!
That's generally how I feel, but at the same time what's the difference between taking one at 30 and 37?
Cardinals select Joe Tryon, EDGE, Washington. Pretty fierce pass rusher, but since he plays pretty upright and lacks a bit of functional strength to defeat drive blocks I definitely see him as more 3-4 OLB than 4-3 DE. He also shows some coverage skill for a line player as well which further lends itself to that conclusion. He plays aggressive, wild, confident, and high effort - he may be a finesse skillset but he’s definitely still an intense player. His angles are good and he uses his length to stay clean on pass reps. He opted out in 2020 but tbh I think this draft might be full of surprise picks because teams tend to play the long game with scouting, won’t be surprised to see guys we forgot about from 2019 getting drafted early-ish. While Fitz and Drake are departing, the bigger issue imo is Kyler doesn’t have a defense half the time. Add in the fact that Markus Golden, Haason Reddick, and De’Voindre Campbell are all gone and this team needs another rusher opposite Chandler Jones.
nearly took this dude at #36, so pretty stoked... With the 50th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select Creed Humphrey, OC, Oklahoma The Dolphins interior OL hasn't been great for a few years now. Their current center Ted Karras is a pending FA and will probably command ~$10 million/year. Humphrey can step right in and help stabilize the interior OLine for the Dolphins.
