The Ravens select: Alex Leatherwood, OT/G, Alabama We saw our run game drop off with the retirement of (should be) HOF Marshall Yanda. Tyre Phillips didn’t fill the void, Ben Bredesen barely played, Fluker is trash, and Orlando Brown is going into a contract year and just yesterday tweeted “I am a LEFT tackle” which sets a tone for his contract extension. The positional flexibility is key here. Leatherwood starts inside at guard and, if/when Brown moves on, slides outside to right tackle where he can bookend opposite of Stanley. Need to keep the line strong for Dobbins, the Gus Bus, and Lamar. most importantly, this keeps the Alabama/Baltimore pipeline alive, honoring Ozzie Newsome.
With the 36th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select Travis Etienne, Running Back, Clemson The Dolphins had one of the worst skill position groups in the NFL last year and they instantly will get a boost with Devonta Smith and now Etienne. Etienne is a dynamic playmaker who the Dolphins hope can turn into their do it all back to help out the young QB.
It was painful passing on him with the Jets pick at the top of the second round, but I have to stay on brand: (ETN is a beast)
is there a bet I can place that Miami will end up with one of Najee, Etienne, or Javonte in the draft? I Would place decent $$ on it
Radunz is a good pick for Philly because he can play inside and out But there are some true guards that have good value here
In a remarkably ironic move, the Cincinnati Bengals select Brady Christensen, OT, BYU I was banking on Alex Leatherwood making it to the Bengals but since that didn't happen, the Bengals select Brady Christensen (my Jags pick lol). Do I even need an explanation? The Bengals line is atrocious. It's offensive. Jonah Williams can't stay healthy but if he can this year that's cool but he won't be doing it at left tackle. Move him inside to left guard and let one of the best pass blockers in the draft take the reign. Missing on Sewell hurts but Brady is easily the best option at LT left after the big two go.
The Jacksonville Jaguars select Trevon Moehrig, S, TCU Sure, I just stole my pick from myself but Moehrig is a hell of a second option to have here. Our secondary was atrocious last season, as we pretty much relied on rookies, a guy that was so bad he was cut from GREEN BAY and then DALLAS, and a guy we found playing hackey sack outside a Trader Joe's. Moehrig is the most polished safety in the draft and should be a day one contributor for us.
The Denver Broncos select Liam Eichenberg, OT, Notre Dame Denver locked up their LT of the foreseeable future in Garrett Bolles and now pick a book end for that offensive line for years to come
I don’t know if anyone would’ve taken Vera-Tucker but I’m glad I moved up for him. I saw a bunch of OL needy teams.
Lions select Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, USC We have like no receivers signed. Jones is probably gonna walk. Golladay may or may not be back
