His imposing physicality also makes him a nuisance for an opposing team’s run game, plugging up the gap and disengaging from from blockers with haste to swallow up running backs. With Suh likely on his way out this offseason, or possibly signing another 1 year extension, the Bucs will be looking to find a long-term replacement for the veteran powerhouse.

This isn’t the sexiest pick to make when trading up but I didn’t want to risk him not being there at 39. The Panthers need help across the entire line and Vera-Tucker is a perfect fit. An athletic guard who gets to the second level and flattens people is exactly how you make Christian McCaffrey even better. His versatility and ability to swing out to tackle if needed is a plus.
