With the 24th pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers Select Samuel Cosmi - Tackle - Texas Steelers will have heavy turnover on the offensive line this year and next year. With Villanueva gone, they need someone to protect the blind side of Ben since he can't move anymore, or whoever is his successor.
Great pick, I like him more than the other guy Steelers are projected to take. People forget that even though they’re historically a smash mouth team, Mike Tomlin coaches zone blocking. Alejandro was quick for a big man (and also had crazy length to compensate and give him extra range) and they need to replace that.
The Jets have only draft three EDGE players in the first round since 2002: Bryan Thomas, Vernon Gholston, and Quinton Coples All three were terrible.
Jacksonville Jaguars select, Najee Harris, RB, Alabama We didn't hire Urban Meyer to become a stick in the mud offense. Since we have no idea what direction we'll go, I don't know if I should focus on our biggest positions of need, considering the FA class is pretty great for our needs this year. James Robinson + Najee Harris makes for an offense that's impossible to slow down, which is where Urban thrives. While Robinson was electric, we had no RB2. We didn't even have someone good enough to be RB3. You look at what Derrick Henry is doing for Tennessee and you absolutely cannot pass an opportunity like this up. Jaguars get their franchise QB and take pressure off him by busting out the best RB duo in football.
Oh I love it haha been low key thinking that’s a strong target of mine you literally just told me the other day you would hate us taking a RB in the first again on principle lol
Like our team sucks just go BPA and make sure Lawrence has a crazy amount of weapons I do like the idea of going defense also, but I definitely think we’re more likely to win more games trying to win 45-44. Can’t build a defense in a day lol. Just getting some damn playmakers on day 1 and getting Trevor some time to work with a whole arsenal is a legit strategy.
I cannot fathom how a rebuilding team with one of the better rookie RB seasons in recent memory takes a RB in the first round but what do I know
this is a good point and ive definitely been noticing this. I want Alejandro Villanueva, Patrick Peterson, and maybe try to pry one of Cullen’s pressure guys from Baltimore (Judon is a FA, Brandon Williams is in a contract year.) im not trying to Call you out, more so laughing about this, but I literally said exactly this a few days ago and you were like “nah” lmao. I’m already tired of Henry / Jonathan Taylor. Those teams need to be fuckin smacked in the mouth. We can’t win being finesse in a power division.
