Wanted to pounce on a quality pass rusher with them before quality dwindled too much. Jennings felt miscast at Bama as he was a better pass rusher than anything. He more cleanly fits as an outside rusher in a 3-4 and New England will love his added experience against the run. They definitely can’t go into this season with Winovich as their only high potential rusher now that they lost Van Noy and Collins.

Didn’t they often use him as an off-ball linebacker rather than a rusher?

Alonso and Analzone are good rotational guys but they've got to have more and got to start planning for the future at the position.

Perhaps I’m getting something confused. I felt like he was a player who was used a lot in standard run defense and mostly popped in packages when he was sent blitzing / put on the line.

 

I’m also used to Alabama just doing that shit, rememeber Isaiah Buggs being a DE lol

 

Either way Jennings is a great choice for a 3-4 defense in the mid third round

Still a great choice for a 4-3 defense on the board too lol
