Oh lol I dislike the talent remaining on the board. We did a good job drafting players at their value this time around
Darnay Holmes still on the board? Just give him to whoever is up and claim BPA. Then let’s call it and restart.
This seems to be over so here are my self grades: Panthers: Ceedee Lamb Noah Igbinoghene Raekwon Davis Jaylon Johnson Anfernee Jennings Anthony McFarland Jr B+ Browns: Jedrick Wills Lloyd Cushenberry III Malik Harrison Jordan Elliott Kyle Dugger Michael Ojemudia A Cowboys: CJ Henderson Julian Okwara Nick Harris Logan Wilson Keelan Cole (traded for pick 164) B-
Bengals: Joe Burrow, QB Denzel Mims, WR Lucas Niang, T Shane Lemieux, G Joe Bachie, ILB Giants: Isaiah Simmons, OLB Neville Gallimore, DE Trey Adams, T Shaquille Quarterman, ILB Keith Ismael, C Chiefs: Jeff Gladney, CB Josh Uche, EDGE Antonio Gibson, RB/WR Jacob Phillips, ILB Love all 3. Giants could definitely consider taking Andrew Thomas over Simmons but I love Simmons and couldn't bring myself to do it. Chiefs need a RB but they simply are not in good position to take any of them with good value. They can't afford to go RB over CB in round 1 in a thin CB class. And all the really good ones are gone by their late round 2 pick, where Uche was by far the best value + need fit left on the board. I wanted Clyde Edwards-Helaire for them but he got taken way before them. Perhaps Zack Moss over Antonio Gibson in round 3 was the correct call, but name me one team that's likely to have more interest in Gibson than Reid / KC?
Patriots Zack Baun, DE Brandon Aiyuk, WR Ben Barth, OT Terrell Burgess, S Jalen Hurts, QB Adam Shaheen, TE David Njoku, TE Buccaneers Javon Kinlaw, IDL Clyde Edwards Helaire, RB Alohi Gillman, S Jake Fromm, QB Trent Williams, OT Adrian Peterson, RB Saints Patrick Queen, LB Netane Muti, IOL Gabriel Davis, WR Titans Austin Jackson, OT Khalid Kareem, DE Van Jefferson, WR Albert Okwuegbunam, TE
That Patriots draft is great. Also like how you got the Saints 3 players I really like despite them having fewer picks.
I feel like I made the most of my options across the board. The Bucs got some vets that can help and some youth on defense. The Pats draft would be so nice to me. And I’m pretty happy with the Saints and Titans moves.
I especially love my Giants and Bengals drafts. GIANTS Simmons / Gallimore / Quarterman is a ridiculous boost to the Giants' defense, I mean that's 3 aggressive players that play with an intensity that's hard to match, they could be tone-setters. Plus I still addressed the two OL spots that the Giants really need competition / have no recognizable names. BENGALS If I'm the Bengals and I have the top pick in every round, I'm trying to steal players that shouldn't have fallen with my whole draft, and that's exactly what I did. Mims is a H/W/S athletic dynamo with sharp footwork, who perfectly balances out AJ Green's possession WR skill set, and gives Burrow a second big target. And then I straight up STOLE Lucas Niang and Shane Lemieux, both of whom have talent that I value an entire round earlier, to give Burrow an OLine. Joe Bachie at least begins the defensive rebuild and gives them a young player with high awareness that doesn't need to be coached from scratch. He was also a steal in round 5. Bengals can really only choose between stacking their offense or fixing their defense, they will just suck for longer if they don't go all in on one or the other. Can't do it all in one draft. Since Burrow > Chase Young in my eyes, I'd rather spend this year developing him and the offense in high scoring games so that when the Bengals finish the rebuild, Burrow is ready for high offensive output.
My Browns draft would be pretty incredible for them. They already signed Conklin, so drafting Wills and Cushenberry would really turn their line around. Baker would have no more excuses. New coach, improved line, and surrounded by weapons. Then I picked up 4 high ceiling defensive players. The chances of them all panning out are slim but I’m a big fan of each player.
Honestly, it might be more fun to do one limited to just 2-4 people and just rip through things as opposed to waiting hours between each pick. People can come and go and comment during and the two pickers can just keep going.
I joined @JRShoenberger 's Pokemon league because @Fucking Dustin & @CarpetElf both asked me to so drafting is all I know now
Wanna do four people? Me, Swoos, Randall and maybe Night Channels? If someone else wants in they can take my spot
