Yanda was a 3rd round pick too, so hopefully that's not all he and Hunt have in common! edit: here i am pretending like i actually just drafted him for the ravens. this quarantine is getting to me.
Andrew Thomas - OT - Georgia Tee Higgins - WR - Clemson Jonah Jackson - C - Ohio State Jack Driscoll - OT/OG - Auburn Jordyn Brooks - LB - Texas Tech Really happy with Denver's draft through three rounds. Focused heavily on BPA and really bolstered their offensive line. Higgins would pair well with Sutton. Brooks is a plug-and-play starter at linebacker in their scheme.
That is a nice haul for Denver. Tbh, I'm not as into the pairing of Sutton/Higgins as they seem to be similar players, but hard to pass up the potential value there in the second round.
The Bills may not be taking him anymore after the Diggs trade but I'm still a Higgins-stan. He may not be dominant, or win at every nuance of the position, but he *should* be damn good at the things he's already good at. There's plenty of WR that come into the league with his build that don't make it, but those are usually the ones where you're taking a guy's build and skills and projecting they will translate. Higgins has already shown he can do it at the highest NCAA level. I'd kill for the Bills to have a guy in the Kenny Golladay/Courtland Sutton/Tee Higgins mold.
I’ve seen one or two people compare Higgins to Alshon Jeffery and say that’s why the Eagles should take him. And I fucking hate it tbh
I think I have the AJ Green comparison stuck in my head because every time I watched Higgins bring down a jump ball AJ was the player I was reminded of. Higgins is really good on the contested catch.
I like Higgins fine, but I like other players more, which speaks to how good this draft class looks. He’s near the bottom of tier 2 in my opinion, which on the one hand is really good, but also it means he’s roughly WR10 1: Ceedee, Ruggs, Jeudy 2: Jefferson, Reagor, Mims, Shenault, Aiyuk, Hamler, Higgins
I’d be closer to moving guys like Claypool and Pittman over Higgins than I would be putting Higgins over guys like Reagor and Mims
Justyn Ross is probably the best receiver next year. Wild that Clemson had Lawrence/Etienne/Higgins/Ross and couldn't keep up with Burrow.
