Carolina Panthers select Jaylon Johnson, CB, Utah Panthers are double dipping at CB. As I said before, we currently have Donte Jackson and a bunch of scrubs at corner. Jaylon Johnson is a type of corner we haven't had in a long time. He plays a physical game and loves to disrupt receivers right at the snap. I think he has a pretty high ceiling. Would love to see him fall to the 3rd round. This pick will allow the Panthers to eventually move Jackson into the nickel role which I think he'll be much better with. Regardless, moving forward with Jackson, Igbinohene, and Johnson sounds appealing.
I’m sad panthers don’t pick until the 5th now but 4 players in the top 69 is pretty good considering this draft class. Ceedee, Igbinohene, Raekwon, and Jaylon is certainly different than what I actually want to do but at the same time I like it a lot haha
Colts select KJ Hamler, WR, Penn St Trading up a bit to ensure getting the last of the second tier of WRs in this draft class. Realistically, the Colts will probably try to grab a bigger bodied receiver to fill the role that they’ve whiffed on in free agency over the past few years, but IMO, there’s no better way to get the explosive plays that Reich and staff keep talking about than to add athletic weapons, and a receiving core that includes Hamler, Campbell, and Hines among the options behind TY Hilton would certainly be that
Igbinohene too Both guys are long armed and love to press. Would be fun to watch them as a tandem. Especially with Donte as the nickel.
