I still would rather Minshew have time in the pocket so that he can focus on what coverages are trying to do to stop him. I feel like that would aid his mental growth, instead of having to run away from the rush every 2 seconds.

He’ll know how to use his receivers better if he gets more time to see how routes develop against different coverages.

 

Alternatively, getting another guy who can regularly get open would benefit him greatly and could nullify the need for a premiere tackle. I like both strategies either way. That's why I think the Jags should be taking a WR or OT with the ninth pick as opposed to a DT regardless of how great that DT could be.

I would be THRILLED. I’m starting to lean towards, it’s better to add to a strength on our roster than try to do damage control with needs. We are gonna suck next year regardless so it’s time to play the long game. Let’s get our trenches or our playmakers right and give them a whole year together to develop.

Ryan Pace doesn't believe in keeping draft picks. I like making picks. I probably wouldn't trade down both times, but it depends on the board as the picks come up. If you're looking to get into either of those spots as we get closer, send your offers. Chicago has no picks between #50 and #163 so I would potentially like to add a 3rd and/or 4th
