Atlanta doubled dipped on first round OL last year - I don’t think Thomas makes sense for them. I do think Javon Kinsler is the best pick for ATL if he is on the board and that’s it’s probably more likely that he falls than Chaisson
Las Vegas Raiders select Xavier McKinney, S, Alabama Raiders need help in the secondary and while Gruden has a history of reaching, I think it's better to match the value with the pick. McKinney is one of the top safeties in the draft and immediately provides versatility and leadership to a secondary devoid of both.
Jacksonville Jaguars select AJ Epenesa, DE, Iowa Epenesa is a day 1 starter than can fill the role of both Yannick and Calais. Dont expect him to he as good as either of them right away (or maybe ever) but there's no bigger hole to fill and no better player to fill it than Epenesa, unless we should luck into Chase Young somehow.
Out of curiosity, isn't McKinny projected more as a box safety? If so, seems maybe redundant given the box safety the Raiders drafted last year that got hurt week one. Not trying to be argumentative at all. Really just curious. I don't see people talking about McKinney nearly as much as I do Delpit so I wanna learn more about him.
Nah, Alabama used him everywhere. Dude played single high and slot frequently. He's not a Minkah or Derwin but he's of that same style.
Philadelphia Eagles select Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU. Eagles need more speed and explosiveness in their receiving corps. Reagor gives them that. Justin Jefferson and Denzel Mims seem to be the popular picks for them at WR right now, but I don't think either of them are great fits for this team's current makeup. Jefferson is a great slot WR, but the Eagles spend a lot of time in 12 personnel. Mims projects as an X receiver, but the Eagles still have Alshon Jeffery (though I doubt he'll be ready to start week one, or any time soon after that) and drafted J.J. Arcega-Whiteside in the second round of last year's draft to play that position. Reagor gives this team outside/slot versatility, is explosive in space, and could have the speed necessary to fill in for DeSean Jackson when he undoubtedly misses time due to injury.
If you could guarantee me that Justin Jefferson could consistently ball out while playing mostly on the outside, then give me Jefferson every single day. The reality is the Eagles need outside receivers because Alshon and DJax aren't playing 16 games. I'll be surprised if either plays more than eight. I did heavily consider Mims though.
*** Trade Alert *** Patriots Trade Picks: 23 and 214 Texans Trade Picks: 40 and 57 The Houston Texans select Grant Delpit, S, LSU
Pick 24, The New Orleans Saints select Patrick Queen, LB, LSU. The Saints stay in-stare with Queen, who has great range when working downhill against the run or all over the field in coverage. He's the kind of LB that can have an impact in a few different ways due to his versatility.
