I just realized that neither of my teams have first round picks... which is awesome, because my work is re-opening this week (I work at a crisis center that closed briefly with the bagel-thing going around) which has led to a lot of extra work for me. So I have a little extra time to research for this thing. Great!!

Pick 14 - Tampa Bay selects Javon Kinlaw, IDL, South Carolina

Vita Vea gets his partner. Suh isn’t the pass rusher he once was, but he’s serviceable against the run. This gives the Bucs the opportunity to deploy Kinlaw in a rotational role using his size and athleticism to get after the passer. We added a LT and a RB already for a light cost, so continuing to help the defense catch up to the Tom Brady led offense is the right move.

Denver has invested quite a bit of money into their offensive line the past two offseasons. Thomas is a clear upgrade over Garett Bolles, who has a pending fifth year option that Denver will surely decline after this selection.

The Falcons have a coaching staff whose job security probably hinges a lot on whether they figure out their pass rush this year. Takk hasn’t developed well and they’ve said they won’t pick up his 5th year option, and they swapped one overpaid disappointing former first round pass rusher for another overpaid disappointing former first round pass rusher

Enter Chaisson, who has all the tools to be a great pass rusher, needs some refinement, and Atlanta would give him an opportunity where he can start as a situational pass rusher and develop to take Takk’s spot by the end of the year
