With the 143rd pick, the Atlanta Falcons select Jauan Jennings, WR, Tennessee.

The Falcons already have a fantastic wide receiver duo in Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley, but they could certainly use a viable WR3. Jennings will compete for that role with Russell Gage (who has shown nothing worth mentioning), Olamide Zaccheaus (remember that long touchdown against the Panthers?), and newcomer Laquon Treadwell (please no). Jennings is far from a burner, as his forty time will show you, but he is a large receiver with a big catch radius. Given the difficulties that Matt Ryan has had connecting with Jones down in the red zone, Jennings gives Ryan a target to take advantage of those opportunities. Just throw Jennings the ball and watch him plow people over after the catch.

I don’t even prefer the cute receiving TEs but I’m not gonna just say he’s not talented lol.

I actually love TE who can block. Unfortunately finding a strong blocking TE who is a good pass catcher is not easy haha. Jaguars have been trying to replace 2010 Marcedes Lewis since 2011 Marcedes Lewis.

 

my favorite is when your coach tries to turn guys who have no business blocking into blocking TEs
