I sent him a message. If he doesn't pick in like 15 minutes, y'all go ahead & group pick it. He may be out nature walking or something with the friends he's with today, he's staying near Tallulah Gorge.
Anfernee Jennings, EDGE, Alabama. very similar to another ravens 4th rounder, Jarrett johnson. Both from Alabama, both play olb. Both good against the run, don’t have the size to put their hand in the dirt, and have decent pass rush moves. If Jennings can carve out a solid 9 year career as a contributor, then he and johnson are both great 4th rounders.
I was considering him a couple of times, but kept going in other directions. I like the pick, especially for a Giants team that desperately needs help in that secondary.
Jaguars select Trey Adams, T, Washington. This 6'7" dude with an 81" wing span is built perfectly for tackle, and has surprisingly good lateral agility to catch speed rushers. He was on his way to being a top prospect in this draft but then had major injury issues a couple years in a row, enough that falling to Day 3 is likely. Imo the time he missed due to injury robbed him of some of his drive and his ability to handle power rushers - he's a little behind in terms of conditioning. But at 330 pounds I have no doubts he can build that strength back up. He did finish his college career without any issues and provided very consistent protection for Jacob Eason - to my knowledge Bradlee Anae of Utah is the only rusher who beat him repeatedly, and I'm pretty high on Anae. It's just a matter of staying healthy from now on, and there's definitely bust potential on him if he remains fragile. But in the LATE fourth round he has fallen below his value. I will gladly take a chance on him as a backup swing tackle, and perhaps a future starting option if we decide Cam Robinson didn't earn a huge contract extension.
This was my other choice too, and the guy who I mentioned could be as high as round 2 if not for the injuries. just need pass rush more than tackle since I do think well resign Ronnie stanley
I'm proud of that pick. This is real late to get him. Feeling very glad I didn't end up trading away this pick to get Diggs or Tyler Johnson.
The Chiefs select Nick Harris, C/G, Washington. Plugging another need with this pick. Austin Reiter has been the starter at OC in 2018 (due to Mitch Morse's concussion issues) and 2019 (due to Morse heading to the Bills), but PFF has his 2019 grade at 63.0. Add in what looks like depth issues at OG behind Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, MD, Esq. and Martinas Rankin and even if he's not a starter, this could be a valuable addition to their depth. TDN's scouting profile makes him sound like an ideal fit for the Chiefs - from the pro comp of former Chiefs center Rodney Hudson, to his profile as an athletic center (Mitch Morse is also a very athletic center, he has been described as a "tackle playing center"), to the zone-based scheme fit. @Swoos Tompa Brady Buccaneers up
