Walter is good about most of the draft and then has scorching hot takes for 5-10% of the draft class and it kills his credibility
Buffalo Bills select Bryan Edwards, WR, South Carolina. I think I did this last time too but like the fit at this spot even more considering his injury before the world shut down. Buffalo did add Diggs but could still use size at WR outside of Duke Williams who moves like a Mack truck. Edwards could work on the outside behind Diggs and Brown or be groomed as a big slot to replace Beasley, and in the mean time get some red zone looks.
Bummer. Was hoping he’d keep falling cause of his broken foot hahah. He would’ve been coming to Las Vegas.
Baltimore Ravens select Lamical Perine, RB, Florida. I'm a huge Gator fan, and the Ravens like to run the ball. Perine has been a consistent contributor for the Gators for multiple seasons and suffered behind a brutal offensive line this past season - something he won't deal with in Baltimore with the way we've revamped the interior line this draft. He is a reliable receiver and lined up out wide in college with consistency, so he can immediately slot in as a third-down back behind Ingram - something Gus the Bus can't do. With Ingram turning 30 and two seasons left on his deal, it's time to invest a late pick in an RB that can learn behind a savvy vet and be ready to take the mantle as lead back eventually.
actually, i didn't. but i might pick him in 5 picks. we will see. the fact that he hasn't been picked yet is obviously telling, but i have seen him go that high, so who knows. maybes it's just walter being walter.
The New England Patriots* select: Kenny Willekes - EDGE - Michigan State High motor edge rusher that makes up for lack of physical traits in hustle. Former walk-on that became one of the most prolific defensive ends in MSU football history.
Cards take K.J. Hill. No, WR isn’t a big need but Fitz is close to the end and I like Hill too much to not take him here.
Vikings select Darnay Holmes, CB, UCLA Vikings double dip and grab a second CB after all the attrition they’ve seen at that position. Holmes comes in and immediately provides competition for Mackenzie Alexander’s replacement as Slot CB, where he’s adequate in both man and zone, and has the speed/acceleration to hang with the quickest of slot receivers downfield.
