With the 99th overall pick, the Green Bay Packers select Akeem Davis-Gaither, LB, Appalachian State

The Packers brought in oft-injured Christian Kirksey to replace Blake Martinez at the linebacker position. Behind him? Oren Burks and Ty Summers, both of whom account for less than 1% of the team's cap hit in 2020. Suffice to say, the team hasn't invested much into the position. Davis-Gaither can compete for the #2 inside linebacker role and potentially start alongside Kirksey in Mike Pettine's 3-4 defensive scheme. Given Kirksey's recent injury history, there's a decent chance Davis-Gaither sees meaningful playing time in his rookie season.

It's just real sporadic and I don't wanna hold you guys up. Like I have no idea if I'll pick in an hour or in four days rn. Are we going to even get to round 5, etc? Round 3 has taken a week. If this whole thing takes us a month, the new one has to start relatively soon.

 

Considered him with the Bills as one of the higher guys left on the board but after they stocked up on DL in free agency it wouldn't make sense.

 

i wanna at least get through round 4 to see if i can round out my drafts haha. I have specific things I still wanted to address for both JAX and LVR.

 

All three rounds has taken a week, so far? That's about a round every 2.5 days. At this pace, we'd finish by Sunday?
