The Panthers have traded picks 77 and 152 to the Raiders for picks 91 and 106. The Raiders select Jacob Eason, QB, Washington. I don’t know what the fuck they’re doing with Carr and Mariota, but neither of those guys is the answer and Eason is great value in the third round. He brings accuracy and anticipation and a little mobility, Gruden’s quick hitting offense is a great fit for him. Here’s hoping Gruden can take a guy from a west coast spread and teach him pocket presence.
I had a brief thought of taking Eason at 77 but I've convinced myself Joe Brady will make Teddy a HoFer
I adore both my drafts tbh. Like I’ve said only thing that’d make the Jags draft better is trading down at 9, or trading up further for Okudah / Chase Young. I tried both and neither worked out. But Brown, Epenesa, Diggs, Kmet is still four home run players to draft imo. And four huge needs filled. It’s an A minus but not quite an A cause I could’ve gotten better value with better trades. Raiders so far have Lamb, Delpit, Terrell Lewis, and Eason. A+ for day one and two.
With the 78th overall pick, the Atlanta Falcons select Josh Uche, EDGE, Michigan While the Falcons made an effort to improve their pass rush this offseason by adding Dante Fowler in free agency, they should not stop there thinking he's the solution they're looking for. With incumbent starter Takkarist McKinley entering the final year of his deal, Josh Uche provides a safety net at the position in case the Falcons to move on from McKinley after 2020. In the meantime, Uche can serve as a rotational pass rusher, or even rush the passer from the interior next to DT Grady Jarrett. With the 79th pick, the New York Jets select: Clyde Edwards-Helaire - Running Back - LSU Best available weapon for a NYJ offense that needs them. A perfect spell back to Le'Veon Bell. Excellent fit in the zone scheme. Should contribute immediately as a complimentary back and as a receiver.
Raiders still got Terrell Lewis and Jacob Eason with BAL’s old picks so they can have those picks tbh
Josh Uche is by far my favorite pass rusher who’s been falling to round 3 and I think he ought to go in like, upper round 2 instead.
He’s a great RB to pair with Henry considering Henry can’t catch the ball lol and there’s no guarantee Henry is there after 2020. Clyde would prevent any drop off from the position.
