I think Panthers are going to take him tbh He’s from Charlotte, Joe is here, and Olsen just got the boot.
Like how are you gonna win JUST enough games to pick 9th instead of 6th, then trade all the veterans that helped you win those 6 games and create more holes, but then only get back Day 3 picks that you can’t use to fill those holes again. All 3 of those things contradict each other. Caldwell are you rebuilding or just sabotaging? If we just lost to the Raiders and pick 6th we would have either Derrick Brown or Jeff Okudah fall into our lap (the best players at both our biggest needs) and might even luck into Isaiah Simmons, but NOOOOO
Right...I wouldn't have included Yannick to go up 2 spots. I would have moved Yannick for another pick. I.e. Jags trade 9 and a 3rd for 7. Jags trade Yannick for a 2nd. Jags get Derrick Brown Jags get Epenesa or Delpit and have 2 seconds to continue to aggressively build.
I mean yeah haha. My point is, if you’re not tanking then don’t create more issues than the team already has. We both didn’t tank AND ruined the roster. AND did it for basically no real draft value, we might get special teams players though!!!!!!
wait no sorry i just heard that out loud. no Daves allowed in the organization anymore. No Toms either.
Neither Delpit nor Epenesa would’ve fallen to 20 in this draft though, for the record. I also technically traded Yannick for more value than a second round pick, though you’re right that an extra pick is better than moving up. I also like Epenesa to replace Campbell and Diggs to replace Bouye more than I like, for example, Kristian Fulton and Curtis Weaver
@Joe4th ill give you a high fifth (157) to swap up here from 73 to 67. On the value chart it’s pretty much exact.
Why? I think it’s fine I just think people need to not use it like a rulebook haha. It’s a guide. If my board was full of guys I can get later, id trade for less, because adding another draft pick is still great if you can get the same guy you wanted originally. Shit I would’ve taken a 3rd or 4th round pick to trade down a couple spots from pick 9. Conversely, If I really want the last “good player” at a certain position, I can give up more than the Trade Chart to beat other offers / help convince that team to give up that pick. But I already say in the first post that different trades have different levels of urgency so use your own discretion.
