I was torn between Wanogho and Winfield with my first pick in the second, walked away with both and got rid of Golden Tate before he had a chance to fuck Daniel Jones' girlfriend.
There was a rumor he slept with Russell Wilson’s ex wife and that it led to his divorce but I think it’s false.
The Buffalo Bills select Isaiah Wilson, OT, Georgia. I'm not sold on this pick to be honest but the Bills are almost certainly going BPA with their picks as, for the most part, even their weaker spots like DL depth were addressed in free agency with multi year deals. Wilson's scouting reports have him as raw but strong as hell. With everyone healthy last year, the Bills were not afraid to rotate Cody Ford and Ty Nsekhe at RT sometimes even series to series. Ford struggled a bit with speed and is definitely a better long-term fit at guard. Whether Wilson is the right guy to move him inside, I don't know as he has some of the same weaknesses, BUT Nsekhe is like 34 so I guess at worst this is your new swing tackle once he develops a bit
Seattle Seahawks select Bradlee Anae, DE, Utah Anae is one of the most underrated players in the draft and could slide in perfectly opposite Clowney. If the Seahawks do end up adding Griffen on top of this, their trajectory is looking sharp. On defense at least. It's always one step forward two steps back with Pete Carroll and his fucking offense.
Nah, still good with my decision. I still got a quality cornerback and I’m much happier filling a huge need than stacking a position of strength. I really don’t think Epenesa is that low. He’s at least a top 15 prospect. As @Swoos pointed out he’s at a premium position that costs more. And as I’ve pointed out, tackle and WR, the only positions above him at that point in terms of BPA, are two of the things we need the least. Absolutely rather reach by a few picks for him than reach harder for a CB that doesn’t tackle (cough Henderson). Matt said I should’ve taken Delpit and we all would’ve said that’s a reach too. The value just isn’t great at pick 9 for defensive players. I hate pick 9 tbh it’s a terrible spot for us if we can’t trade down.
Cincinnati Bengals select Thad Moss, TE, LSU Is he the best TE in the class? Maybe, maybe not. Is he my son's guy? Absofuckinglutely. Moss played most of the season with a nagging injury and still was dominant both as a blocker and a receiver. Dude made one of the best catches of the season last year against Alabama. Justin Jefferson was never going to fall to the 2nd. Jamar Chase has another year in school. Gotta keep at least part of the band together. Chicago Bears select Troy Dye, LB, Oregon Bears get themselves a super athletic, highly productive LB to eventually replace Danny Trevathan.
The real answer is you probably should have traded up from 9 to 8 instead of trading 19. You would have either been able to keep Yannick and trade him for an extra pick or gotten way more of a haul. I think both Epenesa and Delpit would have been available at 19.
Eh, I wasn’t gonna give up Yannick just to move up two spots. The trade was to get high enough for Derrick Brown but I didn’t wanna give up very much draft capital to do it. No one is trading out of an elite player for the, like, day 3 chump change we traded all our veterans for. Yannick & 20 was the value that made the most sense, that puts his value at pick 28. This is why those trades were dumb lol they didn’t even net us back enough draft pick value to move around in the draft.
