He got out of Atlanta because Atlanta is packed with people and he wants to limit his chances tbh. Plus that friend is like, her and her husband could survive nuclear winter if they had to. I’m debating staying with them myself once I eat these $250 in groceries. Matt doesn’t take chances or fuck around lol he goes for the best logical option and doesn’t waste time.
Colts select Ezra Cleveland, OT, Boise St I think the Colts are going to grab him with one of these second rounders. He fits the athletic profile of what the Colts look for in their linemen, their OL coach worked with him at Boise before coming to IND, and they have a definite long term need at OT
Lions keeping him. Want to be able to roll out two back sets with two good running backs for once and not have to go to no name guys if an injury happens.
With the 37th overall pick, the Los Angeles Chargers select Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU. The Chargers already have a loaded receiving corps that features Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Hunter Henry, and Austin Ekeler. Aside from Ekeler, who recently earned a much-deserved extension, the others are headed into the final year of their contracts and it remains to be seen who is kept around. Selecting Reagor gives the team a young WR to pair and grow with Tu'a Tagovailoa on their rookie contracts while it also allows the team to determine what to do with these other receivers moving forward. One has to imagine they'll do everything they can to keep Allen, one of the best WRs in the league, around for Tu'a's benefit, but there is a chance one of Williams or Henry will not be back in 2021. From Benjamin Solak of The Draft Network on Reagor: The Carolina Panthers are now on the clock @Swoos
Carolina Panthers select Lloyd Cushenberry III, G, LSU Now that the defensive line has be revitalized, it’s time to piece together a competent offensive line. We traded for Russell Okung this offseason which was a head scratcher, but I have a glimmer of hope he can be a solid stopgap LT while Greg Little continues to develop. Speaking of Little, he actually looked very promising in his limited game time. I think he has a bright future. Anyways, in the move to acquire Okung, we gave away Trai Turner. This was a bit of a surprise at first but after reading up on the details, it seems like the team was not nearly as high on Turner as the fans were. They were concerned about him having injuries multiple years in a row, and were worried he’d demand a huge extension next offseason before his contract year. So, I replace one LSU guard with another. Cushenberry should be able to slide in a starting spot day one. Having Joe Brady will certainly help his transition as it’ll inevitably be a perfect fit in Brady’s scheme. Rather than continue paying Turner big money, we replace him with someone on a rookie deal who has potential to be just as good, if not better.
With the 39th pick in the 2020 NFL DRaft, the Miami Dolphins select Jonathan Taylor, Running Back, Wisconsin Miami needs a young workhorse back to take some pressure off of the rookie QB. A backfield of Taylor and Jordan Howard will be a really nice combo for Love.
