yes. american factory seems quite large. gonna try to find honeyland now.

 

Parasite getting 6 noms is cool, but would've loved to see more for the acting done in that movie
I loved 1917 personally so wouldn't mind seeing that win some
Joker didn't need 11 noms that's insane
Lighthouse/Midsommar/Us deserved more cred but that was never gonna happen
Awkwafina and Greta Gerwig were both robbed
so were Sandman and either one of Pattinson or Dafoe

still like this better than 2018 though

 

parasite getting the amount of nominations it did is quite literally historic.

 

What are we thinking for Best Picture winning? I feel like it’s either Parasite or Hollywood.

 

I think I just figured out how to summarize the way I feel about Joker: it gives voice to the type of people who feel underrepresented but actually aren't. But don't @ me on this, I don't intend to ever actually see the movie, and the Joker thread still gives me ptsd.

 

That and a handful of others are the only excitement to be had at all.
