Been a great week of checking out albums I’ve never heard. Some of the rules I came up with for myself to keep things interesting: Has to be an album I (probably) wouldn’t otherwise check out Have to listen to it all the way through at least twice Have to listen to two albums for every day I don’t work (only listening during work shifts) Here’s what I listened to so far. Gonna update the thread once a week quoting my last post to keep the thread clean instead of spamming everyday about what I checked out haha. 5/8 Fleetwood Mac - Rumours 5/9 Radiohead - OK Computer 5/11 The Cars - Self titled 5/12 The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced 5/12 Fiona Apple - Fetch The Bolt Cutters 5/13 Paul Simon - Graceland 5/15 Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon 5/15 Eric Clapton - Slowhand 5/16 Frank Ocean - Blonde Really enjoyed the Cars album. Not much to say about it but it’s got some huge hits on there and then you got Moving In Stereo which is just such a cool song that sounds way ahead of its time. The Jimi Hendrix Experience... always wanted to check out Hendrix but for whether reason haven’t. I was into this though. Wasn’t really what I expected but after listening to it a few times I’m starting to appreciate it more. It’s just so fucking weird at times the way he approaches crafting a song. Are You Experienced is a great example of that. Wonky stuff. Fiona Apple omfg this is a great album. Just pulling at all my heart strings right now relentlessly. Probably my favorite album I’ve heard so far next to Rumours and OK Computer. Need to check out more from her. Graceland.. great, feel-good album. I Don’t Want To Know is just such a banger and I love the vibe he created throughout the album. Not really my typical wheelhouse but I dig this a lot. Dark Side of the Moon took a bit to grow on me. I know it might seem wild that I’ve never listened to this album but it was just one of those things. I knew it would be great but it actually ended up being a slow burn for me. Into it now though, this is a highlight and will stay in my rotation. Not really sure where to go from here with them but interested in hearing more for sure. Eric Clapton’s Slowhand man this is such a smooth album. Love Clapton’s voice so much and You Look Wonderful is such a sweet, touching song. It breaks me. Frank Ocean’s Blonde was another one I’ve just been putting off for years that I knew I would love. Lots more to digest on this album but I’m certainly a fan now. That Andre verse is like verse of the decade holy shit. looking forward to next week. Been a great way to take my mind off of life and just lose myself in the music.

I knew Beach Bunny was gonna knock it out of the park. I just found out about Long Neck and that record blew me away.
Everyone here should check out the new Ratboys record. It’s so good and definitely way underrated in terms of how much it’s being talked about.
Topsters 2: Make images and charts of your top favorite albums. I also have a rotating top 100 of all time.
Haven’t updated this in a bit so here’s what I listened to in the last week and a half 5/19 R.E.M. - Automatic for the People 5/19 Rage Against the Machine - Self titled 5/19 The Doors - Self titled 5/20 Fleetwood Mac - Tusk 5/22 Carly Rae Jepsen - Dedicated Side B 5/22 Paul McCartney & Wings - Band on the Run 5/23 The Allman Brothers Band - Eat a Peach 5/27 Van Morrison - Astral Weeks 5/27 Carly Rae Jepsen - E.mo.tion 5/27 My Morning Jacket - Self titled 5/27 Earl Sweatshirt - I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside Lotta good stuff here. Liked everything I listened to to varying degrees. Favorites at this point are probably Tusk, Band on the Run (Jet is a fuckin JAM!) and Dedicated Side B. it’s starting to get a little more difficult coming up with new artists to delve into but I’m excited to check out other projects from all of these artists.
