reminder that Jeff Skinner still has 7 years at $9 million AAV on his contract

 

Hey man we don't like this either. It's tough to argue against the top 6 as it is, and Skinner would be extremely valuable in the bottom 6 if he could pot 25 and bring his linemates along too. But they certainly aren't setting him up for that.

At the very least they could put him up with Cozens and Eakin.

 

Man they are really still pushing "first pairing Ristolainen" huh

 

well at least if the Devils are going to suck, they are going to suck with half the roster being literal children

much better than sucking with the Kevin Rooneys and Peter Harrolds of the world making up the majority of the lineup

 

just because Skinner and Staal didn’t work out on a line together a decade ago doesn’t mean they can’t give it another shot

I am hoping this happens down the road if/when Tage Thompson doesn't work out on Eichel and Hall's other wing and they shuffle. Right now, I'm very happy with Olofsson-Staal-Reinhart.

VO can play both sides so they could do:
Hall-Eichel-Reinhart
Skinner-Staal-Olofsson

Reinhart and VO could swap RW spots there too. I'm sure it will happen sooner than later
