In my opinion, if I was Montreal, I would not give Tampa Bay three minutes of power play time in overtime in a potential series clinching game

 

Gonna need the biggest PK of the year here and probably a little luck for good measure

 

this game is not fitting into my “get up at 5am to run” schedule very well at all

The schadenfreude from watching Tampa sweep the Habs in Montral would have been way too much for me to handle tonight

 

When the Habs are lifting the cup at the end of game 7 we’re gonna be looking back at that 4 minute pp as a very pivotal moment.

I said it the other day in the nba thread and I’ll say it again now, I feel like the most pressure situation is being the home team for game 5 with a 3-1 series lead.

lose game 5 and your back on the road for game 6. Losing game 6 and yeah you’re going back home for game 7 but then all you’ll hear about is blowing a 3-1 lead (or a 3-0 lead in this case) and the other team has no pressure because everyone thought they were dead in the water already

now, with that said, I’m sure players don’t see it that way and most probably don’t feel that pressure. For them they can turn it into just another game and what happened yesterday doesn’t impact the moment, but from an outsiders perspective... yeah, not a good place to be!

 

Sloppy puck control during the late pp and leading into overtime was certainly frustrating to watch
