The deals he made at the 2015 draft were really good and the entire front office staff deserves blame for their selections, not one guy that had been there for a month

 

Turning Lucic into two firsts, Colin Miller, and Sean Kuraly was a stroke of genius. The Hamilton trade was dumb. If you erase his first year on the job, he's gotten much better. But their drafting still sucks ass (three impact players in the past six drafts), and even his good trades (which I have praised in this thread) serve to fill up holes that he rarely addresses in the offseason.

imagine if the Bruins didnt just completely botch that 2015 draft when they had 3 straight picks in the first round

especially when the next 3 picks after them were Barzal, Connor, and Chabot lmao

 

We lost 8 straight games with Scheifele in the lineup so not sure I buy his "They want Winnipeg to lose" statement lol

 

We were also missing two top 6 FWDs for most of that series. There's been a weird sense of panic in the fanbase. I think we can keep the core together and just kinda refresh some of the other pieces. We're still a very young team overall. No need to panic.

 

Tampa is also going to be forced to lose a few good players this summer, whether due to expansion or cap limitations. They are obviously going to be an elite team next year, but it’s still worth considering

Yeah we're gonna be fine. Our best players are still very young and will continue to grow and improve. We could add some additional pieces but I would have no problem keeping the same top 6 next season. We lost because Vasy is too good

I looked at Game 1 tickets and they’re way too expensive for me, unfortunately.

 

He should be knocking the rules; what Tampa did is ridiculous.

Is there an actual reason why the cap doesn't apply in the post-season? Because "players are no longer collecting salary" seems like a complete non-sequitur. If your roster isn't cap-compliant on game #82, then you shouldn't be allowed to ice that roster on post-season game #1. Maybe I'm overlooking something, but that seems like an easy fix.

I Also think that if you don't play in the regular season at all you should not be eligible for the playoffs

you should have to play 1 game...even if its only 1 shift
