A lot of hockey Twitter is going deep on there being zero penalties drawn by mcdavid over the last two postseasons. A lot of numbers in general showing that top talent isn't drawing penalties. The narrative is that this is bad because the refs don't protect their stars which hampers their exposure. I don't know I mean part of me wants the refs to call it by the book but I'd being yelling every time Crosby drew a call or something.

 

I don’t think the league should give star player preferential treatment, but a penalty is a penalty and they gotta call it as such. Didn’t someone here post several examples of McDavid getting manhandled with no call?
