On the one hand, I agree
On the other, holy shit the logistical nightmare and massive can of worms that opens is unfathomable.

Haven’t players taken out insurance policies on themselves in the event of injury to protect from this kind of thing (to some extent) in the past or am I crazy? I feel like I hear about this when players skip bowl games or something.

if they do / can, I hope Tua did that and / or this doesn’t impact his draft placement. Kid deserves his money (all college athletes do)

In fact, I believe NCAA teams can now take them out for the player...they changed that a few years back.

    What do these policies cost?
A rule of thumb is about $10,000 for every $1 million in coverage. Previously, the NCAA helped secure a loan for the premium, which would be paid by the player's family, but a couple of years ago, that changed when it was discovered that schools were allowed to take out the policies themselves.

Sources said that Clemson took out a policy for Watson through International Specialty Insurance, which has established itself as the leader in the space, especially when it comes to offering loss of value.

The tricky business of college football insurance policies

I've been sick to my stomach all day. Tua seems like the greatest of people. I hate this for him.

It's pretty crazy he only threw for 57% last year. I don't think I've ever seen a dude go from game manager to absolute world dominator in such a short time.

    Good run Minnesota.

Hey I'll say it. I think they still make it running the table. That still involves beating Ohio state...and a loss at iowa isn't that devastating

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Honestly, this Minnesota team reminds me a lot of the MSU team that went to the Rose Bowl and beat Stanford. They’ll be fine. Could see them getting to the title game and hanging close with OSU

The more complicated offense probably accents his strengths more.

BAYLORRRRR. Me and my brother bet on 10 win total o/u every college football (and nfl season). I might 9-1! OU under 10.5 was the one making me nervous.

    nopeeee.

I love LSU this year but I also don't have an accurate frame of reference for how good they actually are compared to other undefeated teams

All I know is, Burrow is the most "polished" college prospect I've scouted since Andrew Luck, full stop

(disclaimer: that doesn't mean he'll be better than Mahomes & Watson, in fact I doubt anyone is gonna challenge Watson/Mahomes/Wilson as the top 3 QB in the league... but he's definitely less raw than they were coming out.)
