    The rivalry is back on

    Bad logic is bad

UGA wins out and beats LSU, nothing else weird happens:
    1) OSU
    2) Clemson
    3) Georgia
    4) LSU

UGA loses to Auburn, beats LSU, nothing else weird happens:
    1) OSU
    2) Clemson
    3) LSU
    4) Alabama/Pac-12 Champ

To be fair hes been there 2 years. You cant keep giving up on coaches every two years

    Even though nebraska still sucks

Scott Frost's contract was until 2024 I believe. They weren't giving up on him, this is just making it more expensive for either side to move on.

Why do people still believe money is an issue to these schools?

Investing in Frost or Riley is a no brainer.

Do I think they can afford paying Frost millions of dollars to coach somewhere else? Yes.
Could that millions of dollars be better spent upgrading facilities and helping land better recruits than the mediocre coach? Yes.

if anything that's Nebraska saying "HEY...we're NOT going to do this coaching carousel thing again. We think Frost can build something and will give him the time".

Although if he was signed until 2024 then that is bizarre

have you seen their facilities and recruitment system, or are you just making generalized statements?

Bingo. That’s what the majority of contract extensions are for.

I have seen both. You're just deflecting. You're ignoring that Nebraska is in a bad place right now for a reason. Extending Scott Frost is basically a nothing move and you guys can't continue to do nothing or you're going to get close to a Texas situation where recruits are so far removed from you guys being good that you lose your historic advantage. Nebraska is ranked below PURDUE right now for the 2020 recruiting class. Rutgers has more five star recruits the last 10 years than Nebraska does. Because Nebraska has 0. This is a blue blood school that has been drastically under performing it's budget and assets.

I like Nebraska (GBR), but ignoring the mess in the organization by just keeping this ship afloat isn't a winning strategy.

I think it’s naive to think kids born in 2001 care about a team’s history from a half decade before they were born. Texas at least has the vince young and colt McCoy eras they can point back to but who’s the last great nebraska player? suh? I think the history thing with nebraska is overblown when it comes to recruiting.

I agree with everything you're saying. You DO run into the situation of someone's dad being a fan of X because they were good. Kid grows up a die-hard X fan or something. It's really tough to pull a team out of a tailspin and I wish we'd see teams take more chances as opposed to investing in the Scott Frosts of the world.

I’m not deflecting. I’m asking you to further explain yourself. If you have a valid argument as to why and how they could use that money more wisely in those areas, I will hear you out. But to make vague statements on where they could spend that money elsewhere isn’t helpful, imo.

But ultimately, I believe investing in a coach is the best strategy. It’s really the biggest investment in recruiting you can make.

I see where you're coming from absolutely. I think we just disagree on investing in Frost specifically. To me that's showing the kids you're comfortable with where you are.

Some kids will see it that way, no doubt. But also, a big thing in recruiting to some kids, and parents, is knowing that the coach they are investing their time in will be around for a while. Some will value this move, even though he was already signed to a longer term.

But, honestly, who knows why they did it. Most likely it was just an accounting move. Ha

You arent getting a better coach by continuing to fire coaches every two years for failing to build a great team with a roster you didnt build, not to mention one that doesnt fit the new coaches scheme
