I don’t see the problem with that rule change.

It would deprive us of some more amazing 7OT games

Also, college football OT changing its rules before the super dumb NFL OT is a thing that shouldn’t happen

So im moving to Austin in a few weeks and want to become a fan of a texas college team

I refuse to be a Longhorns fan. Haha no actual reason other than I've gambled against them for years (successfully because they're always overrated).

I dont want to be a fan of a team that's too far too so no Dallas or Houston based teams.

My options are Baylor, Texas AM, or I go weird and pick Texas State

Do not pick Texas State. That’s just a waste of time.

What part of Austin are you moving to?

I've kinda always liked tcu and fort worth isn't thatt far.

Stephen f austin has always been my jam for college basketball but was crushed to find out its nowhere near actual austin haha.

Baylor has scandal stench. A&m is sec and id rather stay in big 12 land. And yeah texas state sucks too much.

I considered them but smu is like 3 hours away.

Texas tech would totally be my choice if Lubbock wasn't 5 hours away frok austin. Have always liked their program and my boy Mahomes went there.

Maybe I'll shop around and go to a few games around the state and see whats what. I'm a 5 star fan recruit so ya know, they gotta wow me

Sounds like you really don’t have interest in being a fan of any Texas school since you’ve come up with reasons not to go for whatever school people have suggested to you.

Why does the distance to the school/city matter? Do you want to go to the games?

That is true. I guess not. More so a team I can root for to stick it to the longhorn fans...and maybe go to a game once or twice.

I guess I was looking to see if any texans have any insight on best places to see a game, fanbases, and also stir up conversation of who you guys would pick in a similar situation

Idk if y’all have been watching any FCS games but holy shit right now UC Davis is beating Cal-Poly 73 - 17. This is hilarious.
