I’ll agree that an 8 team playoff would be ideal. And that Bama’s schedule out of conference generally sucks. Honestly I’d love to get rid of the out of conference shit and just play a 10 game all SEC schedule every year. I loved the schedule this year. Would have been incredibly spectacular in a non-covid year.

 

yeah, but that's just not the way to look at it. what does the ACC look like without Clemson? What do the other conferences look like with Ohio State or Oklahoma? What does the Pac 12 look like witho- oh wait, they're still bad.

Here's a good site for inter-conference records. Too lazy to look into it too much, but there's only been one SEC vs. Ohio State game since 2015.

Looks like Clemson is 10-3 vs SEC teams since 2015 (mainly because South Carolina sucks recently), so the SEC vs ACC (without Clemson games) is 28-17 in that timeframe.

Oklahoma is 2-3 against the SEC since 2015, so the SEC vs. Big 12 (without Oklahoma games) is 12-10 in that timeframe.

The Pac 12 doesn't have a current powerhouse team and tends to cannibalize its conference schedule, but they are pretty strong when it comes to playing other conferences. 176-149 in out of conference games vs. other P5 conferences in the BCS and CFP eras.

Sorry but every time a small school comes out of nowhere to flip a recruit from a major P5 school my immediate reaction is “yeah... we’ll hear about violations in 3-5 years for that”.

i hope it is legit and he can turn that school into something, but the immediate reaction is “well THAT’S something” and the something is usually suspect the NCAA applies fines to.

 

Not like the big school he flipped from isn't committing violations either haha. The other two big names are his sons so I have to assume that's legit.

I actually feel like smaller schools should get more leniency with recruiting violations lol for every violation a P5 school gets, smaller schools are allowed 3 or something. Help to distribute the wealth of players better
